Services for Everyone
For everyone regardless of their employment status, Employment Services centres offer information on careers and occupations, the local labour market, training opportunities and job search strategies.
This is a self-directed service accessible to the public including employed, unemployed/underemployed, students and employers.
Information on apprenticeship training and resources for newcomers to Canada seeking employment commensurate with their skills can also be found at Employment Services centres.

Services for the Unemployed
Services available to the unemployed and require support in planning and preparation to access and maintain employment or training.
You must be:
- At least 16 years of age
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Out of school (not registered to return to school)
- Out of training (Note: Individuals who are registered in literacy/numeracy training, English as a Second Language (ESL) or French as a Second Language (ALF) training courses, or part time adult education during this time remain eligible)
- Out of work
- NOT receiving benefits under the EI Act. Employment Services can help clarify employment needs; establish short- and long-term goals; develop an action plan; and search for a job helps people develop their skills and gain on-the-job work experience.
Summer Jobs Service
Find summer jobs through the Summer Jobs Service (Link to Student / Summer Jobs Service page). The service provides jobs for students aged 15 to 30 and a $2/hour hiring incentive for employers.
